OLMSTED TOWNSHIP
THEFT, STEARNS ROAD: On Nov. 7, a Stearns Road resident came to the station to report that his wood splitter had been stolen from his driveway. The man said that it had been sitting in his driveway for some time but was unsure when it was actually stolen. Officers completed a report necessary for insurance paperwork. On Nov. 12, the man came to the station again to report that his neighbor had borrowed the splitter without his permission. The splitter was returned.
WELFARE CHECK/WARRANT ARREST, FITCH ROAD: On Nov. 7, a woman came to the station to report that earlier that day she had asked her live-in grandson to leave her residence. She stopped at the station after she finished work to get an escort to her residence because she was afraid that he was still inside the residence.
Officers escorted her to the residence and found the 20-year-old grandson in the home. Officers checked him through the computer and learned he had an active warrant for his arrest through the North Olmsted Police Department. He was arrested and taken to the North Olmsted police station.
WARRANT ARREST, FITCH ROAD: On Nov. 6, police were advised that the North Ridgeville Police Department had a woman in custody who had an active warrant for her arrest through the Township. Officers met with North Ridgeville officers and took custody of the woman. She was taken to jail to await her court date.
