The Toolbox Portfolio Has Once Again Increased as the Addition of LogSplitterWorld Is Finalised

(PRWEB UK) 28 October 2011

E-commerce news details further expansion of the Toolbox online empire, they have released a new website onto their platform, purposefully dedicated to log splitters and accessories. This new website will make it far easier for customers wanting to purchase log splitters and log splitting equipment to do so, as the site will be separate and focused directly on this tool field. A similar navigation approach seems to have been adopted on LogSplitterWorld and looks to be just as user friendly as it was originally on the main Toolbox site.

Lee Taylor, General Manager at Toolbox comments on the new site release: “Log splitter sales and accessory sales has continued to rise over the last year or 2, we put this down to a higher demand for wood, created by people turning to greener alternatives for heating such as woodburning stoves. We hope our selection of log splitters, axes and accessories will be more than enough to satisfy the rising requirement of these products.”

If you’ve got to this point and you’re thinking to yourself “what even is a log splitter?” I will explain. A log splitter is a piece of machinery/equipment used primarily for splitting wood, which can then be used to fuel woodburning stoves etc. An electric log splitter is found to be quite common around homes which utilise wood burning equipment; however, a drawback of these is they aren’t very diverse as you must always have a power supply for them to work. The other type is a petrol log splitter (or diesel powered), the upside to this is that it can be used remotely (away from power supplies) so you aren’t restricted in its use. It splits wood by pulling a wedge and log into a base plate with tons of pressure (commonly between 3-10 tons for home use and up to 25 for commercial use).

Scott Morris, E-commerce Manager at Toolbox outlined the reasons for the new site: “When specific types of tool become extremely popular and the demand is set to rise in the future, a launch of a dedicated site takes out complications for customers and allows them to explore and find exactly what they’re after without being distracted by other products. They know what they want and they know exactly what the website offers, perfect. Accurate pictures and descriptions on all products will provide customers with the confidence they need to buy a product such as this online without hesitation.”

LogSplitterWorld is another project from Toolbox, the sister company of the ever expanding Plumbworld empire. Plumbworld was an early pioneer of online trading, started by James and Anita Hickman in 1999 and was sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006, Plumbworld now employ more than 50 people in their purpose built warehouse and offices and boast an astonishing 49 websites selling everything from nail guns and bathrooms to barbecues and wood burning stoves. The business has a turnover in excess of £18 million and is growing at more than 20% year on year.
